brooklynjayI have lived here for 11 years and never once was tempted to go there. -
prodigalsonLaura's is still around?
I used to eat there over 20 years ago - she always had great seafood as well as pizza. I believe it was her sister who was her assistant but don't recall for sure. She was always friendly to me and my buddies. And we all liked her thick Italian accent - it stood out quite well in the old neighborhood.
I sure miss those days! -
vidro3i haven't been there for about 2 years. but i remember having several consecutive meals of horrible food prior to that. -
vidro3btw the place always seemed empty. i just assumed it was a front. -
catI went in there once on my own and I felt simultaneously ignored and overly attended to (like, oh my goodness, there's a woman eating on her own here!!). I thought it was way too expensive for what it was. If it had been a bit less expensive, the ambiance is nice enough, it would be worthwhile. Laura seemed a bit ... hard to describe.
Nobody really talks about it either for some reason. Maybe it is a front. for What?
When I went in there tho', now this is two or so years ago, there WERE people in there. Eating. -
nonhipoldbklynchickI remember when it was Charlie's Pizza. I can't tell ya how many times Charlie threw my friends and I out of there!! Wow haven't thought of that place in years!! -

shishkabnever ate at the restaurant, but ordered pizza there regularly for years. as i recall, though, it started to get too expensive to buy a pie and we had to switch venues.
