Tavern on Nostrand

Ok,
My wife and I have only been here a week but,
we went to T.O.N. tonight.
It was great! We can't afford it often, but the food and the service were awesome. The chef stopped at our table ( and we weren't the only ones there ) and welcomed us to the neighborhood. I hope this place makes it.
Also outside some guys were working hard to put the finishing touches on a new place called the Sunshine restuarant. They said it's West Indian / Americian food but they want it to be " a little classier" than your average Nostrand place. They are having a "open house, or tasting" tomorrow after 3:00. These guys seemed really nice and excited.

    Its on Nostrand between Union and President.

    We just bought a house in the neighborhood and that restaurant is one of the reasons. The owner and other customers were very welcoming the two nights we popped in for a drink.
