Wrought Iron Fire Escape Guards

Hey everyone. Hope the holiday season is treating you all well.

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations about where or from whom to obtain wrought iron fire escape window guards.

Seems trite, but the accordion style ones that we have are really ugly. Obviously not an emergency, but any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!

Do you actually mean wrought iron or do you mean something decorative (looking like wrought iron)? Also do you want FDNY approved openings or are you happy with something that can be padlocked, on hinges and swung open in an emergency.

Home Depot, F & F supply, Janovic Plaza etc should have them readily avaliable.

Haven't checked out the locale just yet, but someone with similar grills, who was happy with the outcome, suggested a locksmith on 9th Ave. I'm still awaiting the details, but will let you know how it goes.

i have the accordian style, and a cheapo one at that. nobody's going to be able to break in through that thing... my bigger concern would be needing to get out and struggling with it
