Where Can I Purchase a Stroller?
MOD
My current one isn't big enough for my 5 year old. I could also use some recommendations on a good bar or grill that will allow children, as I have to get my buzz on.
Thanks, Love you all.

One or two do. The squalling distracts Oscar while he's trying to pee on them. -
nonhipoldbklynchickI should not post this but.....why is a 5 year old still in a stroller??? If the child is disabled, I apologize for my question, but, a healthy 5 year old can walk!!! Isn't the kid annoyed to be in a stroller???
Sorry I really am a crank.....
P.S. take the kid to any bar you like--I approve of that, takes the mystery out of drinkin -
veetsI have nothing to say but want to chime in on this post because mamacita is tryin to relieve the "attack" mode of other threads. I am reaching a point where if I say anything I get attacked.
Can I give your non-existent 5 year old a hug? -

Welcome to my world, sister!! Every time I disagree with someone, I get told its because I can't get laid. Little do they know...

veetsWell Anastasia... I am happy to hear the "good news".. Hey the whole thing is a so what. The thing I think is terrific is that many people who post here DO understand each other and there are so many people who have met here and have met in the real world as well. -
anastasia beaverhausenThanks! I'm pretty proud of it.
But yes, you're right. There are some great people on this board. -

And I need forgiveness for my evil nature because I just left an evil spirited post for Drunken on one of THOSE threads. I am a nice person but just could not help
myself. -

This is such a popular question from people who don't have kids. Here's the answer:
In the city, you walk everywhere. It's not uncommon for someone in Prospect Heights to walk to the South Slope for lunch or Smith Street or Dumbo or whatever. It's not a huge burden on an adult but on short legs, it is. But mostly it's about time: if you've ever walked with a child you'd know they don't get anywhere too quickly. The meander. Plus, again, short legs don't conquer distance too swiftly. So in order to make it somewhere, you need a stroller. -
hannah smithI love "the meander". -
witch-kingA granny cart can hold a child quite nicely.

nonhipoldbklynchickNow I'm really confused... no 5 year old? LOL Feel like a fool
Hey Old Time Brooklyn.... Yes I do have a kid!!! And at 5 she was NOT in a stroller...if walking was to far we took a bus or subway. I will stand by my words-- a 5 year old is too old for a stroller.......(but OK to go to a bar) -
longtimesloperOK to go to a bar? Gee, I thought legal drinking age in NY was 21, not 5.
And, mama, you had me going for a second too until I saw what you were asking for, LOL -
comfortably smugthrow your child into a fire -
bklynpetuniaBut nonhipold - I used to stuff my 5/6-year-old in a jogging stroller on long (2 mile-plus) neighborhood hikes because I wanted to *walk*, not take the bus. I'm not sure I see how taking the bus is more virtuous than getting there by foot, albeit w/ the aid of a stroller. Anything closer to a mile they could walk just fine - when we went on vacation this summer, both kids were able to go on 2 and 4 mile mountain hikes with us and the 7 year old was still talking a blue streak by the end, so I know they aren't couch potatoes like so many suburban kids (my own childhood included).
BUT - can anyone recommend a stroller for a 75-pound sheepdog so I can walk her in the park without a leash after 9am? (I'm sorry, I can't resist!) -
floMama-- I laughed when I saw your post. I think it would have been even funnier if you said "I could also use some recommendations on a good bar or grill that will allow children, as my kid has to get his/her buzz on."
