I'm talking about Valentine's Day...you dirty bastards.

Does anyone have any fun, creative and not that expensive things to do around park slope?

Thanks!

cook an elaborate meal at home for 1/4 of the money and 2x the fun? That's what KosherGwen and I usually do.

This is what the husband and I do too. The $$ you would spend on a restaurant can score you some decent wine and lingerie. Of course for us cooking is a passion, it might not be for you.

I'm going to ask the BF to make me his incredible manacotti with garlic bread. I'll grab a good bottle of red and our netflix = Perfection.

VD dinner in the Slope is inevitably over priced and over crowded.

I'm planning to spend it with a bottle of scotch and my Wii.

A bottle of wine, my big fat tv, and me. What's not to love?

old chatham sheepherding company in the hudson valley makes a crazy good camembert (sp?) in the shape of a heart that is crazy, crazy good. I think you could probably get it at Grab. Or, call and ask them and I'm sure they'd get it.

That, and a little pink bubbly, and I'm a happy girl.

do what everyone else does......have your fancy restaurant dinner on the 13th, avoid the prix fixe and reservation hassle, and make something wonderful at home on the 14th. turn off everything else and just focus on your mate. your creativity will be sure to take over.

Husband is working as usual so I'll be home by myself doing nothing.
Or , maybe I'll take myself out to the movies. Whatever.

Em26 would you like to fuck around while he's at work instead? Going to the movies alone sounds boring

    So many options....

I think I'll stick with my annual V-day tradition of cheap gin and masturbation.

You got to love yourself before you can love another. :P

....damn, this is a depressing thread.

I'm with the people who reject Hallmark's power to create a holiday, and instead just go about their day.

The rest of you may want to investigate Lexapro.

I'm also opting for dinner at home with the hubs and the pooch. We'll cook something extravagant and I'll try not to go into labor. I'm 8 mos. prego.
