Hurt my back this morning, probably too many hours sitting at my desk. My reg chiropractor is in Manhattan, but don't think I can hobble that far. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good chiropractor round here?

Thanks!

my wife swears by Dr. Bill Walsh. He's on 8th ave, near Flatbush in the Slope. I don;t have his number, but a google search will find him.

    2nd on that.
I would try and call because sometimes with bad weather she gets cancellations. But, on a first visit she needs more time than the 1/2 hr time slots she generally works with so that might be a problem. I can tell you that once you are under her care Elena will do all to accomodate you if you have an emergency or find yourself in terrible pain.

What's the going rate for chiro visits these days? (Do any of you get coverage through insurance?)

    veets,

Exactly. Dr. De Lucia will be there for emergencies. She called me at home one day after I really hurt myself. Very rare these days. I was not expecting her to check up on me.

I've had good results with Park Slope Chiropractic Center, 361 Fifth Ave., 718.965, 2100. They are husband and wife, I find Donna to be better. They also do ART therapy.

Active Release Technique, a kind of myofascial / soft tissue treatment.

bullyboy, many chiros do take insurance so it is usually the co-pay, specialist. If they don't take insurance it's usually $60-$90/session but the initial session is usually more expensive because they do the history, etc.
