Brothers Storage on Atlantic (Big Yellow Bldg)

Has anyone used this place for storage? I'm curious about cost, service, security, etc.

We used it when we were doing some renovations - service was fine, I know they were a little more expensive than the others we priced but it wound up working out even in the end because we did not have to pay a hauling fee for them to take the stuff from my house to the place. I also think they gave us an additional "small" discount because we lived close by. I can see if I can find the bill if you want to know exactly how much and for what size.

Awesome. Really, I'm just curious about a closet sized space. Plus, we live a short walk from there and could really just carry our stuff back and forth as needed...especially since I have a granny cart.

no real complaints except that rates went up 20+% after we'd been renting a few months...but by then we were hooked on the extra space in the apt, so we pay. (rates went up for everyone, btw. it wasn't a bait and switch or anything. they have not gone up since, knock on wood.)

you also have the advantage of being able to see your bright yellow storage facility if you fly into La Guardia.

Seriously, it is completely visible by air. ...whether you consider this a benefit is up to you.

Yeah, this is one of the best landmarks in Brooklyn.

Somewhat unrelated, but there is a storage space on Atlantic called Storage Deluxe, and every time I pass it coming back from JFK I notice the logo and think that it must have been the inspiration for that SNL Short D**k in a Box. No?
