Ode to Oak Park Pharmacy

Just wanted to share:
After living in the city for many years, and going to Duane Reade and the likes for my prescriptions, I am really enjoying the convenience, the service and the warmth of the Oak Park Pharmacy.
They had my doctor fax the prescription over, filled it AND insisted on delivering it. I only live a block away, so I walked over to pick it up, but it was indeed a nice touch.
They know old-timers by their names, greet them, and ask about their families. It is so nice to see that a dreadful task of picking up your medication can be such a wonderful experience for many senior citizens in our neighborhood!

The place gets my vote and my business! (ok, time to take my pills)

Ballard Pharmacy is also great as well. Too bad my health insurance gives big discounts only if I shop at CVS.

yeah oak park is great and ballards is great too.

the guy who runs oak park is actually the father of the guy who runs ballards. i consider that strange for a father and son to be in competition across the street from each other. but their both super nice people and seem to get along well and not think of it as competition

PPW and windsor next to terrace bagels.

I am no longer a fan of Ballard's after the guy called out my name and prescription across the store when he was done filling it.

I love Oak Park. Mohammed and crew are awesome and I know that if I crawl in there with prescription in hand they don't make me wait while they fill it.
