Shoe repair?

Can anyone recommend a place for shoe repair? I know there are a few places in the Proho and wonder if anyone has had good/bad experiences with them. I have three deeply loved pairs of shoes in need of new soles/level heels/regluing of current soles (you don't understand, I LOVE these shoes) so I'm looking for someone who maybe kind of cares and will help me keep them alive and walking.

Any suggestions outside of PH or in Manhattan are also welcome.

Thanks!

My wife swears by the place on Flatbush and 7th Ave.

She has had work done to a few pairs of shoes and even had a belt made.

The owner and his son were very attentive.

I too stand by the place on Flatbush. Actually I think it's Flatbush and Park. Affordable and friendly, as well.

The guys on Flatbush and Park will definitely understand your shoe, hmmm, issues, and treat them with absolute TLC and extraordinary skill. Highly recommended ...

Absolutely the shop on Park between Carlton and Flatbush. Slava runs a tight ship with kindness, expediency, and humor. Go there. You won't be disappointed. Nevermind the airbrushed work boots in the window.

Slava, on Park between Carlton & Flatbush, is great for soles and heels. I had him dye a pair of shoes once and they turned out really awful. But other than that, the standard upkeep of your beloved hooves can be left to him.

Subject: Two Shoe Repairs on Flatbush & Park

There are two competing shoe repairs at Flatbush & Park:
    1) Northeast Corner, With Black and Gold Awning
    2) Southwest Corner, Near 24 Hour Newstand and Old Movie Theater
I don't like either. Both will give you the hard sell and try to charge you whatever they think that you will pay. I say take your shoes to both and whoever gives you the lowest price gets to fix them.

No, I disagree ... I say take your shoes to the place where you will get the best service at a reasonable price. Don't quibble over pennies.

I like the place next to the news stand.... They are flirts but they do a good job.
