If you guys were on death row, what would you choose as your final meal?

I'm thinking I might choose something rank, like White Castle or Kentucky Fried Chicken, but the possibilities are endless.

Seriously, it would probably be Indian food. Chiken Tikka Masala, Chana Saag & Aloo Paratha. And a mango lassi.

    2 choices:

1st: My mom's cooking. A smorgasbord of her chile verde, mole pipian, mexican rice, freshly fried beans, all her salsas, those thick yellow corn tortillas, her home made guac from the molcajete, chicken and pork tamales that she made at home, and just for the hell of it her pozole.

    Second choice:
A huge North Carolina BBQ: Fat fried catfish, hush puppies, vinegary pulled pork, fried chicken, biscuits in country gravy, fried okra.

All accompanied by a ton of Grey Goose cocktails and single Malt whiskeys!

PAPI CHULO's choice: "The livers of my enemies!!!!"

There's also the death by fast food:
In and Out double cheeseburgers with grilled onions with their fries, Tommy's chili (like a full bowl of it), a garbage plate: Fries/chili/carne asada/cheese/salsa.
Onion rings, freshly made zucchini sticks, chicken fingers, tons of ranch and honey mustard,
A grilled pastrami from Langers!! Then one from sleazy Jims (east LA).....
.... the coronary will get me before the Man does!!

A fabulous salad with tasty tomatoes and some sort of cheese (goat or blue), followed by a porterhouse steak (medium rare) with french fries and bearnaise sauce for dipping. Followed by a plate of a variety of different cheeses - creamy and stinky - with some crusty bread.

all washed down with delicious red wine

Let's say you had to abide by the last meal request rule in Florida, which according to their website is:

"To avoid extravagance, the food to prepare the last meal must cost no more than $40 and must be purchased locally." (They didn't specify what constitutes local on the site, so you get to decide how far your boundary of local goes.) Now you got 40 bucks to spend nearby on one last tasty meal. What's it gonna be?

then I'd order veal parm from a good local red sauce joint (I'd expect it to come with bread) and spend the rest on wine (I'm guessing I couldn't buy weed...LOL)

Okay, by that criteria, if I'm on death row in Raiford, FL, I pick The German Schnitzelhaus in Jacksonville. Authentic German food. More Nom.

What if the food choice has to match the method of execution...ie Fried chicken if you are getting the electric chair or pulled pork if you are getting drawn and quartered? I think in that case, Flexi gets marijuana if she is getting a lethal injection.

oh, if I'm getting lethal injection and I am going to die anyway, I'll take some heroin since I never tried it, it supposedly makes you feel great, and I won't have any potential/time to become addicted.

if i'm high as a kite I don't think I'll even care what i eat.

Only $40 makes it tough. I'd probably go for one of the following, depending on my mood that day:

    1) a pastrami sandwich on rye with potato pancakes, half-sour pickles, a knish and a Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda from Katz's

    -or-

    2) a roast pork wonton noodle soup, with a side of roast duck, salt and pepper squid, snow pea shoots (or maybe flowering chives), and beef chow fun (or maybe crab meat E-Fu noodle) from Great New York Noodletown

I'm going with pot brownies for dessert if I'm being stoned to death. I think folks on this board will be happy you can order bacon if you're going by electric chair (on account of the sizzling).

Not sure if this topic is making me hungry or sad..which is a kind of confused state I often find myself in. :?

Slow down, Mamacita. You only get to die ONCE in this life time. The rule of the game is you get to pick ONE last super, not eat everything on the planet before you die.
