Try Columbia University or NYU (Bellevue) Dental Clinics - supervised high quality care by dentists in training for low(er) fees.

If I were you, I'd try NYU. Maybe NYU's dental students need someone to practice on.

Some New Yorkers get cheap dental work in Mexico.

It's terrible that you and others do not have dental coverage. You can die if stuff goes wrong in your mouth. This country's health system SUCKS.

    Good luck!

My ex used NYU years ago. I have no idea what the cost was, though.

... and another one for NYU dental clinic.
One of my friends teaches at NYU dental school and supervises students at the clinic. It is a very good place!

I know that Luthern Medical center has a dental clinic, but you may want to get in touch with a regular dentist and see if they are willing to work out a payment plan.

I'm a few days late in reporting back, but I ended up going to the NYU Dental Emergency Room and it was a great experience. There's a $95 fee, but that includes xrays, the exam & (I'm assuming just basic) work. I needed a cavity filled, & I was in & out in two hours. The staff was FANTASTIC.

And it turns out, the students need to perform certain procedures to pass their boards. So, they invited me back for a comprehensive exam. When I say comprehensive, I mean 12 xrays & every single toof got checked. If you need work that they need for their test, then they'll do the procedure for free and give you $100. So, I'm getting two cavities filled and three quadrants of my mouth deep-cleaned at $100 each. That's a sweet $500 to get my mouth fixed.

The staff is great and seriously talented. I was scared shitless, but everything worked out great.
