parents of teens, when do your children start writing these essays?

i've heard that some parents hire outside people to help write and edit these essays, does anyone know how much a parent would pay for this?

i'm not the cheater. there are people and companies that help kids write their essays. i have those skills and am wondering what the going rate is for them

Ha, kidding. But if I were you, I might advertise to do it for like $50-75, although I imagine it depends on your credentials (Ex. Their kid is aiming for Yale, you graduated from there summa cum laude).

i used to be an executive editor at hachette, and am an award winning author. not too worried about that. /

I know a person who offers this service. She is a Yale grad and a lawyer... has been doing it for years. She charges $125/hr, and can usually help a kid get their essay in shape after 2 to 5 hours.

The big national test prep firms charge more, and there are probably many who charge less... but that's one price point.
