Helpful/Friendly Jeweler in the slope?

I need to pick out *the* ring soon.... and i'm absolutely lost after some internet research stones, etc.

Can someone suggest a low pressure, helpful jeweler in the slope? someone that would show me different stones/settings, explain the differences of diamond characteristics, etc.

Garrys Jewlers I think they are on 5th ave and 9th street NOT positive but I think they are still there. It has been at least 25 years since I got my "ring" there. My ex mentioned in the last few months that he has gone there. Very nice people and very fair.
