Subject: PDF's

I'm currently making PDFs by scanning pages into Photoshop and converting to PDF format. The trouble is that multiple page documents are multiple PDFs attached to emails. Anybody care to recommend free or cheap software to make a multiple page PDF? I know, you can call me Fred Flintsone.

I forgot, I have to scan the documents as they are DOB permits and whatnot.

I have a PC and know you can easily do this with Word.

Maybe I'm retarded. I don't see it. Or my version is a antique.

Can't you scan directly into pdf format?

Also, you didn't say whether you use a pc or a mac. If you have a mac, there's a pdf converter built into the OS. All you have to do is print (in any program), and one of the print options is "save as pdf." It's on the lower left corner of the print window.

I usually just copy and paste my scanned documents, resize them to be full-page and then save as pdf. Easy peasy (I do this dozens of times a month for expense reports for clients.)

If you actually own the full write/read adobe you can do this. You need to open adobe and in the drop down menu there should be an import>import from scanner. When it finishes scanning the first page it will ask if you want to add another page to the pdf and so forth.

Photoshop also has this feature I believe.

There's an option in my HP printer/scanner's software to choose which scans you want include in one pdf.

Also, if you have trouble with other options, could could try google docs. You can save google documents as pdfs and as someone who doesn't have word, I've found it very convenient.

I've been using CutePDF for quite some time - it just installs as a virtual printer.

That's kind of like the way OSX handles it.
