I just got a letter for jury duty....ugh! I saw a post on here recently about whether or not you can bring your laptop. Does anyone know if you can and if there is wi-fi so you can do something productive while sitting there?

Thanks!

There are several threads on this so a search might provide more info, but here's what I know from my day there a month or two back.

Yes, they do have wifi, you can bring your laptop, and there is tons of decent seating. The waiting area and process were much more pleasant than I expected. I left my computer at home so I could study w/o my main distraction--the internet.

They also provided maybe 15 computers for people to use, supposedly for 30 minutes at a time, but so few folks were using them that I don't think the limit mattered.

If you go to the front of the main room, you'll see another room (the eating allowed area) to the left with more seating and vending machines.

Yes, I brought my laptop. There is wifi, at least in the building I was in. Good luck.

If you need an outlet, get there early to snag one as there aren't that many as far as I can see (I had jury duty on Wednesday).

Actually they are on timers and it's 10 minutes, not thirty, but you can use them as long as you want. Thing is, after 10 minutes your web browser will shut down and you will have to restart it.

So don't write any long emails.

Yeah, it's not so bad. I actually got a lot of work done.

also, if you need an outlet, the big posts that go through the middle of the main waiting room have outlets on them, and most people didn't seem to notice that when i was there.
