Ever wanted to taste the difference between Vouvray, Savennières and Muscadet? Ever tasted a classic grape, Cabernet Sauvignon, only from the Loire Valley where the soil is minerally?

That's what this month's Prospect Hgts Wine Tasting will do, taste 7 wines from the Loire Valley in France against each other. The Loire is France's third largest wine region. Known for it's mineral soil, it produces whites that have character and go well with seafood, and reds that different than Bordeaux and Burgundies.

Check out http://www.loirevalleywine.com/

Please confirm that you are joining us on Friday, March 3rd from 7-8:30. [email hidden]. Same place as last month, 120 St. Marks Ave, between Flatbush and Carlton.

Thanks for organizing this, should I bring anything? Unfortunately, my pot farm was raided so I can't bring any of that, but I can bring crackers or bread etc. Let me know.
    Regards

Is Muscadet a grape or a place?

Thanks everyone - We had a great time at the wine tasting and got to know the Loire valley wines so well that I didn't care it was ass freezing cold out when we left. We look forward to the next one.

Hi, I am interested in attending the next one? When will it be? Someone just gave me the Food & Wine guide for 2006 so I am ready to start tasting... :)

Oh and what should I bring?
