I had chocolate covered bacon at brunch today, at a place called "Co Co" in Washington, DC. http://www.cocosala.com/

The bacon, amazingly, was crisp. The chocolate was dark and delicious. Altogether a satisfying experience.

Now, if only I could find bacon covered chocolate...

Vosges also makes a really good chocolate bar ("Mo's Bacon Bar"). You can often find it at Union Market and the occasional Whole Foods.

in my opinion the problem with Vosges bar is that is is bacon pieces instead of a strip. it isn't as satisfying, plus a the bacon used is a little too smokey.

Did anyone listen to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me this week? Chocolate covered bacon featured somewhat prominently at the top of the show. What are the odds.

Our favorite little 5th Avenue Market carries all the Vosges bars. Mo's Bacon Bar is absolutely fantastic.

i bought that mo's bacon bar for my dad for father's day, and he said "meh." he gave it to my mom to try, and she said "blech." they are both great lovers of chocolate and bacon in their individual forms, but i guess the combo doesn't work for everyone.

I am a chocolate fanatic and literally don't feel "right" if I don't have a piece of dark first thing in the morning. In contrast, I didn't eat bacon -- not ever -- until about two years ago. I've come around big-time, though: just made bacon ice cream a month or so back. (Better than you might think!) Guess I'm making up for lost time. Anyway, the point is, I now love bacon and I love chocolate, and that Vosges bar still gets only a modest recommendation from me. Maybe because it's milk chocolate? It just doesn't blow me over the moon as I expected it would.

does anybody else make a chocolate + bacon bar? Am not a big fan of milk chocolate. It seems bacon would go better with dark
