Where to buy roller skates?

I'm a former rollerblader wondering if anyone has knowledgeable suggestions on where I can buy some not-too-ugly-looking roller skates. I went to www.skates.com and checked out a few pages but they seem to be made for 16 year olds with their fluorescent colors, etc. (What do those Gotham Roller Derby Club women use?)

I used to be an avid rollerblader in LA (11 years ago) but I don't find the NYC sidewalks and parks very rollerblader-friendly with all their potholes and the non-smooth blend of tar/rocks/cement that NYC uses.

What size skate do you wear? I have a pair of barely worn (maybe 2 times) of blades that I could sell you. But it's a size women's 11.

Triangle Sports on Flatbush at 5th Ave has roller skates on the second floor. Hot pink wheels optional.

Thanks. Who knew Amazon sold skates. However, all the women's skates on the site seem to have pink wheels.

i just came across an old gotham girls program, which had an ad for this place http://skateguru.com/

they teach lessons -- including to some of the gotham girls, according to the ad -- and "sell skates at super rates". the website isn't so great, but it might be worth calling them.
