MTA Bus Driver assaulted yesterday morning in Brownsville.

I heard it on my radio scanner,I listen to the console dispatchers often,so around 3:30am I hear that a bus driver got 5 of his teeth knocked out,it seems like he was punched outside his bus as no traces of blood was found inside the bus. NYPD picked somebody up on Saratoga Ave for questioning,not sure if he was the perp. I fell asleep. The bus driver was taken to methodist hospital even though Brookdale hospital was just a block away. This incident happened at the corner of Rockaway Pkwy/Hegeman.

I don't know how this happened,but hopefully they get the savage and lock him up,he should get 5 yrs since it is a felony now to assault a bus driver. I don't know how women can do this job,they must get harassed constantly,it certainly is a very stressful job,that explains the high turnover rate.

It doesn't matter who or what you are. Any job that requires a lot of interaction with the public, like waiting on tables at a busy restaurant where homicidal maniacs eat, can be very stressful.

He went to Methodist because Brookdale is a good place to die. Though for my money in that area with a traumatic injury I would make like the cops and got to Jamaica Hospital.

Since you seem to know about Brooklyn Hospitals, fyi, I live in CG. If I were to ever have a medical emergency (God forbid), where do you recommend I go? LICH?

I agree with you on that. And since was going on around 3:30am he would have arrived at Jamaica hospital in record time. I did hear the bus driver speak on his radio,in a low tone of voice of course,I am sure he was in a lot of pain.

A better place to send him would have been Kings County Hospital. Much closer than Jamaica and they have a renknowned trauma center.
