Found cat - 3/1/06 on corner of Prospect Place and Grand Avenue in Prospect Heights

I took her to the vet this evening. She is about one years old and does not look like she is spayed. The cat is tortoise shell colored and extremely affectionate. She just purrs and purrs and wants to be loved. I first saw her hanging around last Sunday night. She has on a multi-colored collar with a bell but no tags. She was definitely an owned cat and she has probably not been outside very long. I am trying to figure out if she was dumped or is an escapee

If anyone has lost their cat or know of someone that may be looking for her, please contact me as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Andrea

Any chance you can post a photo? If you can take one but don't have a place to host the image, PM me and I'd be happy to put it up online so people can see what she looks like.

Are you able to make up any fliers or walk around and check for "lost" fliers? I've been seeing many lately and will keep my eyes out for one on her!

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but somebody posted a sign about a missing torty on the door of the Met. I called the number and left them a message about this posting. Hope it's the right one!

Thanks for everyone keeping their eyes peeled for Lost signs! I will stop by Met Foods today to check out their signs.

Subject: Signs at MET Foods and ACME Pet Supply

The signs at ACME Pet Supply and Met Foods I saw were for a tortie/siamese/persian mix and the cat missing is five years old. Unfortunately I don't think that this is her. Let me know if anyone sees any other signs.

    Thanks for everyone's help!

Subject: Posting at ACME and Met Foods

I called the lady who had the posting for a lost tortie and she has already found her cat. I also called all of the veterinarians in our area as well as Park Slope and no one has an a lost ad out for her.

After a long search for the cat's owner, I decided to go ahead and look for the cat a new home. She has been adopted by a wonderful woman. The cat (who has been named "Sasha") will no longer have to worry about living on the streets again.

Thanks to all of your for your helpful suggestions and for letting me know about signs posted for cats with similar descriptions. I greatly appreciate it.
