Has anyone sampled the fare at Mojito in this new post-Kitchen Nightmares era?

We gave up on the place a long time ago but I'm wondering if people have been since the TV show's invasion and whether they noted any improvements.

When was the renovation and has the show aired?

I'm curious, too. I heard rumors that the staff wasn't taking too kindly to Ramsay's suggestions. It would be nice to have Mojito as an option again but definitely not the way that it was. I hope they shaped up!

WhyFi, the show was filming about 2 weeks ago. It hasn't aired yet, probably won't until the fall when the show starts its new season.

Ah - thanks. I've already exhausted the "watch online" catalog and was hoping that more were on the way.

The kitchen fare seemed decent, but we had quite an ordeal with them recently. Our credit card was charged twice accidentally. No biggie, it happens. So when I contacted them, I had to leave a message for the managers, and they would call me back. The staff person I spoke with said that "it had been happening a lot lately", so she wasn't surprised.
Well this scenario of me leaving angry messages and not getting returned calls went on for over 2 WEEKS!! I was unemployed at that time, so an extra $20+ charge was a big deal at the time. I finally had to ride my bike from PLG up there and get in their faces in person. They were hesitant (still), but eventually conceded.
I will never give them my business again, which is a shame b/c I liked them otherwise.

"It's been happening alot lately"???? That in itself sounds a little shady to me.

I wonder how many people that happened to who didn't even notice it?

    Subject: Outdoor Seating??

Mojito now wants to add outdoor seating. What :?: :!:

Is this a Graham Ramsey recommendation? And where the heck would they put it? (Obviously on the sidewalk, I know.)

Now I like Gordon Ramsay and all but the idea of eating outside that close the BQE is completely disgusting. Bad idea jeans.

BQE rumbling dirt doesn't sound appetizing, but I think every cafe' should be allowed to have outdoor seating as part of their inspection/licensing stuff, if they want it. Not make them lose so much warm-weather business to those that have it for years until they can get it and pay thousands for the privilege!

Not just the BQE but the produce warehouses on that block can get rather stinky.

I think it might be time to pay another visit to the restaurant.
