Building/Planting Garden at 302 EP
shake
My neighbors and I are building/planting a garden at 302 EP. Anyone who has gardening tools we can utilize or wants to get dirty with us that will be greatly appreciated. If there are any artist that wouldn't mind painting the pillars that would be great as well. Thanks.

lo keeIs thta the community space next to the shuttle entrance? -
shakeActually it's to the right of that space. 302 has 2 grassy areas in front the left and the right side, the right is what will be worked on. -
sweet teawhen? -
lo keeYou should have the soil tested for lead. Brooklyn has serious problems in that regard. The tests are cheap.

Very good question. I wanted to see how many people would be interested first. Then I wanted to see if there was anyone who had gardening tools they wanted to get rid of or lend before I went to Home Depot and rented their tools. I know the holiday is coming up and people are busy so I was thinking of May 30th as a start date. I may come out on the 24th and start weeding since I'm not doing anything for the holiday. -
sweet teai'd try asking the community garden next door if you can borrow some tools.
they might also help you rustle up volunteers.
if you do decide on a date, i can let folks at my community garden (which is a bit distant for tools, i think) know about it. -

A friend of mines was able to get a few tools, so I will be outthere Sat. morning at 10am. If you want to come by and show us your green thumb it will be greatly appreciated. Sweetness, I can come pick up the tools if need be. Thank you to all in advance.

I am hopefully moving into the neighborhood a block away. It would be fun to get my hands dirty in the service of public beautification... -
