Artisan/home decor/arts and crafts/antique shops - know of any quality ones in the neighborhood?

Not necessarily in the neighborhood, but over in Bed-Stuy on Thompkins Avenue between Jefferson and Hancock there are a couple of home decor and antique shops.

not sure what you're looking for, but i'm a fan of scarlet ribbons on franklin right off of eastern parkway. it's used furniture and home accents - but really nice stuff that is hand-picked, not just whatever you'd find at a thrift store.

Thanks. I have indeed been to Scarlett Ribbon before (though I couldn't remember the name).

The reason I asked is because I recently came across an article in the NYTimes about artisan/design shops in Brooklyn, including in Boerum Hill, Prospect Heights, Red Hook and Williamsburg: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/07/garden/07brooklyn.html?_r=1 .
There was no mention of Crown Heights (or Bed-Stuy for that matter).

I know there are a bunch of artists/artisans in the neighborhood, so I was curious why CH wasn't represented. I guess we just don't have a lot of actual shops in the neighborhood. (Though I did come across this article about a Crown Heights based fashion design shop for victims of domestic violence: http://ilovefranklinave.blogspot.com/2009/05/this-place-rocks.html . I was more looking for home decor/furniture stuff but it's cool to know about this. Same spirit of what I was looking for.)

    Note: editted to fix links.

Another one on Vanderbilt is the Forest Floor. They have interesting stuff and he is very inexpensive.
