Airbag Stolen

My airbag was stolen from the steering wheel. Parked on Park Pl between Carlton and Vanderbilt. They broke the left driver side window (the small triangular window) to get into the car.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

That stinks! I'm sorry. While I haven't experienced this personally, I know that this type of theft is not uncommon. I would think that it would not be possible to reuse a stolen airbag in another car, but what do I know.

airbag theft is big money... when you have a accident and you want to settle out of court i.e. not thru your insurance airbags COST alotta money .. its 1 of the main reasons i see people use the CLUB.. to protect your airbag basically

Used the CLUB...Guess they can slip it out underneath the club...Repair shop said there were a rash of airbags stolen from Prius'.

Indeed. A friend of mine had one stolen from her Prius on Prospect between Flatbush and 6th.

Sadly, the most parts thefts happen on popular cars, because the demand is high. The prius is popular.

On a similar note, there were several cars on Park between Underhill and Washington this morning with their windshield washer arms snapped off. What the hell is wrong with people?

That sucks. About 12 years ago someone did the same thing to me. Luckily I was able to get a junkyard replacement. But still.

ETA: I truly fail to see how vandalism could provide anyone any kind of pleasure. Karma's gonna whoop their asses.

Happened to me on Carroll street last night! broke back window to steal the airbag from my prius.
