Coming off the NYTimes article, has anyone in the neighborhood had their soil tested for lead?

I planted some radishes, peas, etc in our backyard and it won't be the end of the world if I can't eat them (I am going to get a soil test done) but I was just curious in the meantime if anyone else had theirs tested and what the results were like...

I heard about this article, but am going to take my chances.

I am curious if your radishes grow..and if so, what's the trick? I planted some last year and they didn't come up

Nice to hear, thank you! I think we will get the test done just for peace of mind. I'll post the results.

As for the radishes, I dunno. I bought a bunch of different seeds and cultivated them in a little plastic hothouse (got it at lowes). The radishes came up like crazy, right off the bat. In the garden they really got going. I put them in basically full sun...lots of water thanks to all the rain. That is all I know! After 7 years in a third floor apartment every moment in the garden is a revelation to me :)
