Half, still open or going under? Alternative?

I am trying to plan a Moms night out event in the hood at a wine bar-type place & have been waiting for Half to reopen--has it?

Other places these Moms might consider? Closer to the Slope?

well, there's always Total on 5th avenue (and ... St. Marks?) in the Slope or Sepia on Underhill and Lincoln in PH. both are wine bars, though Sepia also has liquor and is more wine bar-ish. Total has food, which is a plus, but it is a smaller space.
Soda has recently upped the quality level on their wine list (chalkboards by the jukebox), and, of course, there is always Beast, which has a fantastic wine list and lovely tapas. finally, Heights Coffee on Flatbush SAYS they have wine, but I haven't tried any of it (I know you all are shocked) so I can't vouch for their quality.

and Half, I think, isn't reopening unless the owners get realistic. I'm doubting their ability to do so.

I have to go with Beast. Great wine list, and you get the caraffe.

Nice bartenders/waitstaff as well.

So "Closed for Restaffing" = closed.

"Closed for Renovations" --- wasn't that City Lighting? = closed.

Saturday noonish the gates were up, and I saw a woman usher in several twentysomethings who were waiting outside. I don't know about restaffing, but it certainly looked like interviews.
