ghenet is SOOOO good

i just want to give a reminder to everyone since it's a little off the beaten path, but went to ghenet again last night and it's just such a great place. the food is always excellent and the space is very comfortable. it's down on douglas and 4th.

i HIGHLY recommend this place if you like ethiopian food.

    I have to convince hubby to go here. I showed him the menu and he was not interested at all, but, I want to try it

    They deliver too. The "injera" bread arrives flat in a plastic bag, as if it's your dry cleaning.

    Place has ridiculously good food... just ridiculous.

    Yup, it's crazy good. Amazing food. Service leaves a bit to be desired, but the food is so good you won't notice. Yum, yum, yum.

    Don't even look at the menu, just order the combo platter.

    ETA: And this comes from someone who was very "eh" about Ethiopian food before Ghenet.

    I'd love to have some Ethiopian delivered some day. I can sit there with my injera-inflated tummy in my own home.

    Some of my favorite restaurants over the years have had a tinge of Ethiopian to them, many of them no longer with us. It makes me miss them.

    I can't wait to check this out! I LOOOOOVE Ethiopian food! I was very spoiled living in LA, home of "Little Ethiopia." I have yet to find a place here. I've been to a few places in the east and west village. I'm excited. I will definitely check it out this summer. I hope they have Ethiopian honey wine!!!

    They do! We were talking about it (well, mostly about how it sneaks up on you before you know what hit ya) when we were there.
