Cafe Steinoff last night

Was anyone at the Hoff last night? I walked by at like 12:30 and heard the most beautiful trumpet. Are they doing regular Wednesday night jazz? Carmen you must have the skinny.

I had the farmer's pan there and I found it to be "eh." I didn't try anything else.

I don't know the exact band but they do have live jazz some nights. Give them a call and see who it was!

Get the sauerbraten sandwich with dipping sauce! YUM!

Don't love the food-but always love the place. Great bar staff, nice lighting, diverse crowd, eclectic surprising shows, it's really evolved with the neighborhood. I remember when it was Max and Moritz back in 98 (?)

that wasn't max and moritz....m&m was on the next block. i think m&m is anthony's now (or is it little d)?

Flexi.. You have good memory on now defunct places. You are totally right. Max and Moritz, in its time was a wonderful restaurant. I almost feel it was "ahead" of its time!

they had a great garden, too, which is why i think it's where Anthony's is now.

it also became Paradou for a while - it was their 2nd spot - they still have the first, across the street from Pastis in the meatpacking district
