Slow Internet

Been noticing lately my internet (Time Warner) seems to be slower, pages taking longer to load, YouTube stops/starts sometimes. Been happening for a while now. Anyone else experiencing this? Very annoying.

Working fine now, but it is early in the am, before 8:00 am. I guess it will vary depending on data traffic. We need more bandwith!

BTW, will FIOS help this problem?

Same problem here with tw (no matter who I select as a provider, earthlink/rr). Excessive slowdowns at night.

If you can get FIOS it will solve the problem.

I have TW and have slowdowns occasionally, but I work mostly during the day. Never major slowdowns, though. I've basically had a good experience with TW, whereas only hear bad things about Verizon.

Had the same problem over the past week. Called yesterday, set up an appointment for a maintenance person to come by. They called today and canceled it, saying they had just completed from maintenance work in the area. Everything is back up to speed, so hopefully they took care of whatever the issue was.

Same here with slow internet. I use TW, too. But now it seems much better.

Odd, DSL should be constant speed, no slow down due to you rneighbor's surfing. OF course the whole internet slows down too.

I'd make a call to Verizon tech support. On the whole I've found them to be pretty good especially when you ask them to escalate to the 2nd line support.

They do resolve some of the issues over the phone..that's true.. the only problem is you have to take a day off work to deal with them... they take ages!
