High Dive!

So I've been there about 5 times by now and I think I can say that High Dive is one of the better bars I've been to in the neighborhood. Unpretentious, nice/ talented bartenders, nice garden, and $2 High Lifes every day until 8. My only qualm is no TV to watch baseball.. they don't want it to become "that type" of bar.

Has anyone else been there? I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on it. It's certainly an upgrade from the dingy dump it replaced.

At Great Lakes now, but I think I'll run over to High Dive in just a minute to give it a try. I'll let you know what I think.

Super early first impression: Good God, I wish I drank more first elsewhere. High Life is horrible unless senses are dulled. Bleech. Note: The bar isn't forcing me to drink shitty beer, so this shouldn't be held against it.

"Horrible?" Can't just make a blanket statement around here without backing it up! Was it not "divey" enough or something?

No, the High Life (the beer) is horrible, not necessarily the bar.

Ha! High Life, High Dive, same difference.

Can't ever argue with a $2 pint of anything.
