New Prospect Cafe

a friend suggested it for a dinner thing next week and I was wondering if anyone had been there and what your experience was. is it a good place to have a leisurely meal? is it good? (btw, it's just for 3 people, not that i expect to show up with a crowd & stay all night) just curious, thanks!

I've had several people recommend that place to me. Every time I plan to try it though, I get to the door and the place just has a dismal feel, and I wind up going somewhere else. I definitely have to get past this and actually try it out!

hmmm. that doesn't sound like a good vibe.

they have really good food, thought I have had almost immediate gastric issues post-meal every time I've gone (only 2, mostly b/c a bunch of other folks were going to be there). no one else has this issue so I'm figuring I'm delicate with whatever type of lard or non-fat sour cream they use.
