The 16th St ice cream truck

Can someone please enlighten me and tell my why the ice cream truck circles the blocks around 16th St and Prospect EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. at 9:30? Is it a real ice cream truck or is it peddling something more sinister? WTF is it doing trolling around at 9:30 or later?

umm.... because it's summertime! The truck in or neighborhood comes by around 11pm

it's down my way between 10 and 11. i always thought it was kind of weird, but whatever. kind of a cruel tease to kids who are already in bed--i know i can hear that music clear as day from the fourth floor, even when the windows are closed. i imagine that even if they are selling something more illicit than ice cream, they would have the ice cream too, just in case, so we will probably never know what they're really up to.

when i was in HS, two girls from my school (with rich parents) had an ice cream truck as their "summer job" - all they did was get high, drive around and give out free ice cream.

i totally wanted an ice cream truck in high school, but i didn't care if it really had ice cream in it. i just thought they looked cool. flexi, that sounds like the best. summer. ever. except i would have gotten really fat in addition to really high, 'cause a lot of that free ice cream would have had to get in mah belleh.
