This whole market has many of us confused on how to proceed on what used to be easy answers. The owner has a dilemma: should he finish the job he started, or sell it as is so that the buyer can customize it to his/her liking? What does everyone think?

Here are the facts:

4-floor brownstone
Just a few blocks from the 2/3/4/5 Franklin Avenue stop
Quiet, tree-lined block
Brand new hardwood floors
Updated plumbing
Updated electrical
Original woodwork detail

most buyers a wimps: cater to them. finish it to the point where they get to choose the cabinets and appliances, but that's it.

the renovators aren't willing to pay what you are asking.

That's a really good point. Hmm, we hadn't thought of finishing it to the point where the buyer can choose the easy stuff. We already have the hard stuff done.
