best
- glass shop coffee place (technically CH)
- washington bagel shop tacos (or chavella's during happy hour)
- biking by the bbqs and dancing and such in the park (new bike!)
- bar across from wash commons isn't a hipster place
- laundry king!

worst (or most disappointing)
- block party violence (a course)
- people who don't nod or say hi while walking by
- sit and wonder vibe doesn't work for me
- parking seems like it's worse

that's my list your turn.

It feels like summer just began!

Block party violence?! Where and when.

    Best:

Biking. I can't be the only one. The bike lanes actually have traffic in the AM.
    Stoop sales.
It's hot, but it's not crazy hot. You can still enjoy it.

    Worse:

Nothing yet, but there's still time :-).

Best: bike riding for sure! Sit and Wonder did work for me, so that was cool. I enjoyed the "no traffic" Sundays on Vanderbilt. Going to Cornelius and all of the other great bars and restaurants in our area (especially James). Enjoying the quiet, peaceful environment of my block. Going to the new bike shop on Vanderbilt (great place). Washington Commons.

    Worst: nothing to report yet!

I'll take neighbors who don't nod or say hi over the guy on St. Marks and Vanderbilt who was jerking off on the sidewalk and invited me to watch.

    Laundry King = Worst!

Ruined so many of my clothes and when I asked them to pay they just shrugged and said they were like that.

Best: All those days when people DON'T get shot in block party aftermath.
Worst: PEOPLE WHO DON'T PICK UP THEIR DOG'S CRAP. ENOUGH. PLEASE.

Best: opening of Washington Commons in April. And that evening the thunderstorm passed through in late-June and left the sky and clouds in a breathtaking array of colors. One of the most stunning things I've seen in my life.

Worst: psuedo-opening of whatever has been done to the spot formerly known as Ripple Bar. And the disappointing weather.

OMG! I thought it was just me, but the other day when I was biking and some stranger smiled at me on the sidewalk I felt SO good. I love friendly people. Just makes everything feel so much more civilized!

    Best:

    - no parking tickets + haven't had much trouble parking.
    - feeling more comfy with the neighbors + block in general.
    - getting faster doing laps on my bike in Prospect Park.

    Worst:

    - super early morning loud music randomly.
    - mice in my apartment.
    - all this humidity and no sun.

I'm warming up to CH more. When it's good it's alright and it's good most of the time. When it's bad....
