I thought the SoHo one was Havana Cafe, with the 2nd being Havana Outpost in FtGreen.

eh, whichever way. Sounds like a really good addition to that corner.

So there is a Cafe Habana in NoLita and A Cubana cafe in soho. And both have outposts in Brooklyn. It's Cuban MADNESS!!! Yummy Cuban madness of course.

This shouldn't be considered cuban food. The entire 1st section of their menu is quesadillas for pete's sake! I love me some quesadillas, but cuban food it is not....

I wish we had some real cuban food in the immediate surroundings.

wonderroom, it's a sad fact that we must come to terms with that there is no actual authentic Cuban food in NY, as there are only rare instances of True mexican food. One of our members that grew up in Miami convinced me of this fact. Eh, but we get a lot of great dominican food and hot damn do we get amazing roast chicken and tostones around here. And I'll take even a half assed cubano sandwich as long as it's affordable.

I actually heard a totally different thing....It's a new place by the same owners of Shake Shack.

Anyway, why would they open a Cubana Cafe there having one so close on Smith Street?

the new overhang and hanging lights on the facade look identical to those of cubana cafe's.

hey...if it's a shake shack spinoff, i'd be even more pleased.

Too bad it isn't a shake shack although I am excited for something new regardless. That corner has been sad and I live only 2 blocks away.

NY1 reported this am about the increase in commercial vacancies. They are expecting it to rise to 10%.
