Amazing animals: Kingdom oddities

A kind-hearted North Carolina woman outbid a Coney Island freak show operator to buy a five-legged puppy last week, paying $4,000 to save the 6-week-old dog from a life of humiliation.

awwww, that puppy isn't a freak, it is teh kyoooooot!!! i wonder if she is going to take the extra leg off. it looks like it drags on the ground a little, and if that's true it is likely to get scraped up and maybe infected. maybe scarlett can share her antibiotics with it.

Yeah, she had already scheduled the surgery when a local vet offered to do the entire thing for free. I think the little guy will be four-legged by the end of the month.

I'd never get my third leg cut off ;-)
