345 St Johns Place btw Washington and Underhill

I read this board often enough to know that this block has the crazy lane rep, but I've never had any problems on that street and I have friends (two women) looking at an apartment on 345 st johns. Anyone familiar with that building, the landlord, etc that can offer any advice/opinions etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

a friend of mine (a woman) has been living in that building for the past two years or so and has never had any problems. her roommate (a man) has been living there for many years and i don't think he has had any problems either. one thing that she and i have often said that we like about her building is that there are usually lots of people hanging out on the stoop when the weather is warm. people that live in the building, moms with their children. on a block that could be better, the presence of friendly neighbors on the stoop really makes it into a safe spot of sorts.

Yeah, if you become at all friendly with your neighbors you won't have any trouble. That, and be sure to go to Sepia and make an acquaintance with Delissa, as she knows everybody.
