To the girl on the mountain bike. Things look really different from 50 ft back!
An SUV attempted to overtake a school bus on St.Marks right after Vanderbilt, bus to the left the clown swung to the right pinching some blonde on a Mtn Bike against some parked car mirrors. All three of us (2 bicycles,1 SUV) met at the traffic light after the guy blasted his horn at the both of us. At the light he explained that he has the right of way as a car in NYC, I strongly disagreed and told him he was born from a butt. He passed me and honked and swerved toward me.Oh well never underestimate a fat guy on a grocery bike ,sir that is my DNA on your car, repairs are cheaper in CH.Zohan lives.

I'm having trouble deciphering who this is directed at or the point of posting it? I get what happened and all (douche in an SUV was being such, a douche in an SUV) and it surely is a shared aggravation of being a cyclist. But this reads more like a missed connection post on Craigslist.

SUV's should be outlawed in NYC.

90% of the drivers are dickheads.

It's like no matter how much you think you aren't one, when you get in an SUV something over takes a person and they just become one.

    Oh brother

I drive and ride fixed so I know both sides... people on bikes are assholes too. Aside from getting mad when stuff is their fault, often they ride the wrong way up a one way, blow through stop signs and just generally don't give an f what goes on

You would think people on bikes would respect physics and do their best to stay out of people's way... but everyone's a boss, everyone is royalty. How dare someone on a bike/car get in my way! lol

If everyone respected the rules of the road there would be no problems. My car has never been slapped or cursed at by a biker and likewise I've never provoked a driver to curse or swerve at me. Life is too short & precious.

Hey I agree with you on bicyclists (bikers ride motorcycles, IMO).

But in the end bicyclists aren't trying to control 1 - 4 tomes of metal and should be given some leeway as the damage that occurs will most likely be to themselves not others.
