refused

Hello everyone. I live in Russia. I planed to visit New York intending to get better on my English spending three months in New York City.
On July 20, 2009 I had an interview in the US embassy in Moscow and was refused a visitor’s visa. My interview lasted 3-4 minutes. An offiser said that he thought I tried to gain entry to the US of me being able to become an illegal immigrant. Good grief! I am sure the officer did have nothing against me personally, just followed instructions. I did not argue, merely saying thanks left. I am going to reapply. Simply due to having my own two-year plans and because of the officer’s erroneous inference. The US embassy indicates that” the one has to have evidence to demonstrate compelling reasons to depart the US”, but that is so fuzzy and foggy, is not it. As the matter of fact, whatever might be subject of questioning, do not you think.
I do not want to infringe the US laws by and large. To prove that what exists easier than to prove that what does not. I have a craving of a visitation of the US however, I do not crave to breake any US law. Carrying a consolidated punishment of intentions of the others is not the benison. It seems to be a kind of glass ceiling. I am doing my best attempting to glean anything useful and valuable from various available places. I look for practical advice to overcome the visa-hassle, some smart advice can make a diffrence.I try to be informed and get ready for the next shot.

You're making fun of his English but his English is probably better than anyone's Russian (who's posted here). He appears to be asking for a way to get a visa to come to this country. If anyone can help him, please post.

1alfred, welcome to the ugly american visa system. most americans have no idea what someone from another country faces if they want to visit the u.s., and the few that do are shocked to find out. most people assume you can just buy a ticket and come. i lived in mexico for several years and while i knew well-to-do mexicans who had no problem going to the u.s. once a month for shopping, middle class mexicans generally couldn't get visas. and to find out they had to apply, which meant scraping together an application fee, which was something like $100, which is a lot of money for most mexicans. after which, the u.s. embassy just says no and the application fee is gone.

this is how the u.s. treats people who want to visit our country.

one suggestion i have is if you want to study english, apply to a program or school, and have them help you get a student visa. of course that costs even more but if you can afford it, that's probably the way to go.
