New to the Neighborhood.

Hey there internet people,

I'm new to the Neighborhood - its my 1st time living in Brooklyn and so far I am loving it!

I don't really have much to add or ask, but so far I've been lurking and have tried your recommendation for Eton and I am going to brunch at Buttermilk Channel tomorrow (I hope!). I am a huge foodie so that's where I started.

I hope to meet some fine folks here and just thought I would say hello.

Hey dotorodd - I hope you enjoyed your Eton dumplings! (I usually get the chicken & veggies but they sometimes have mushroom ones which are amazing.) Enjoy B.C.!

We got the Beef & Pork, the Chicken & Mushroom and the Veggie - they were all great, the veggie is interesting - it has lentils and tofu. The plum sauce and their house soy are great too.

But I gotta say the shaved ice hit the spot - watermelon & lime with condensed milk.

Our reservation for Buttermilk Channel was confirmed - Bloody Mary with an oyster or with whiskey and stout?
