Does anybody know anything about the NYPD truck across the street from Sushi Tatsu? Is it similar to the Tower of Power on St. Johns? It's been there for a few days, but I haven't seen any coppers on the outside for me to question.

Unless it has moved, it is at Bergen, not Dean and has been for over a week now. I think the words "mobile command" on the outside pretty much say it all. I don't know the specifics of how it works but I do know there have been beat cops all over Franklin for the past 10 days, and I'm glad.

In the 80's and 90's the corner bodega at Franklin and Dean was one of the hottest weed spots in Brooklyn! This is where Wu-Tang used to get their stuff!!

Could it possibly be that the increased police presence on Franklin Ave. from Eastern Parkway (EP) to Atlantic Ave. could be caused by the prevalence of gun crimes, gang tagging, drug sales, and outright licentiousness? Could it possibly be because some "community activists" complained (squeaky wheel syndrome) and complained and complained and complained until something happened? Only way to find out if this is true is to come out to the Community Board and Community Precinct meetings to see what might be possible if THE PEOPLE stand together.

Hmm, sounds like a middle school civics lesson. Nyaaah, everyone knows that doesn't work. The only thing that works is corporate wealth. Unlessss.. everyone sticks together and comes together as a community. That would never work... unlesssss... you think that's what got President Barack Obama his position. Or the civil rights movement and voting rights. Or the feminist movement and the removal of the glass ceiling.

But that's all ancient history. Right????

At no point during your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could have been considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber having listened to it. i award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

But seriously. What are you talking about?

I went up to the van and asked if it was a civil rights mobile think tank as brklyn50 had suggested. What was going on inside was a high stakes poker game for police . They were playing with glass ceiling cards and and BO t shirts on. They said that police biz should be done by well organized citizens sticking together. One high ranking officer said he had seen no increase in gun violence or in the police caring about drug sales.
