Is Latino blood superior to Black and European blood?

NEW YORK (WPIX) - A candidate for New York City council had plenty of explaining to do Tuesday, after comments he made that suggested that Latino blood is superior to the "problem" ridden blood of blacks and Europeans surfaced on YouTube.

Candidate Eduardo Giraldop made the controversial remarks on a Spanish public access show when he was asked about donating blood.

"The blood of Black's has problems, the blood of Europeans has problems," Giraldop said in the 50 second clip. "The best blood for us Latino's, is the blood of Latino's because it has the antigens that make us different."

The comments caused an uproar with many civil rights groups who congregated outside the candidate's campaign headquarters in Jackson Heights Tuesday afternoon.

Giraldo is just another proof (if there was need of one), that Latinos have their own share of fools, like any other race/ethnicity/party.

Maybe Eduardo is a wise Latina?
