gunshots

i just heard them at brooklyn and dean. not sure where they were coming from. 2 shots, then 5 or 6 more.

I just heard them too, but around 10:40. Is your time wrong or did we hear different incidences? I'm on Brooklyn and Pacific.

where did it sound like it was coming from to you? i thought maybe towards Kingston, but i'm not sure.

Yeah, when I heard the sirens, I saw the lights from the Kingston direction. It looked like they stopped there. But then after a few minutes, the cops sped down Pacific toward Brooklyn.

Hmmm .... looks like it took place on Kingston and Herkimer. But did you notice that three bank robberies were reported in the area yesterday.

One at the Bank of America on Eastern Parkway and Kingston, a second at a Chase on Nostrand and Empire, and the last one on Fulton near Bedford. All within about 3 hours of each other... Crazy.

Was at TD bank in the Slope yesterday and they had cop in parking lot and FBI looking guy with a wire standing inside. Seems to be a rash of robberies going on.

no, it's definitely on pacific between kingston and brooklyn, but who knows if there was something on herkimer too - i live right on that corner and heard it all. it seems to be a drive by, and in fact when i think about it there was an earlier incident possibly with the same 2 cars cause i heard someone tell another that we need to get out of here and heard 2 cars peel away..when the shots rang one car told the other to back up, and reversed and sped off kingston.


there are a group of guys who always hang on the stoop next to this one red house near the corner, i imagine they are the ones who got hit. also, when the cops left after a short 2 minutes, it sounded like someone tipped them off as they received some news on their walkies. both cars that drove off had some obnoxiously obvious decals (though i don't recall them matching) on the drivers side back passenger windows, and i felt like there were definitely a good 4-5 people who were outside or in the local bodega/liquor store who heard it all and probably were able to ID the cars (if they cared to snitch...)

There were cops swarming the bank right off Eastern Parkway / Washington when I was coming home from work last night. 4-5 cops in an undercover Jeep. It was really weird. Never saw anything like it.

Undercovers were still walking around E Parkway/Washignton area at about 8:30-9:00.

I saw four obv plainclothes cops.

i walked by literally 20 to 25 uniformed cops at franklin and bergen last night

i told them to spread out

...yes, lots of police presence as the parade weekend approaches.

yeah i swore i heard shots too but then i was like, nah. couldn't be. i am also near brooklyn and dean. also as someone who has had an incident posted on gothamist (hazmat!) i can say the time isn't always exact re: the incident but seems to be the police arrival time.
