Pratt Institute Campus closed to the Public?!

My apologies if this has already been discussed--but is it true that Pratt has closed its campus to the public? If so, this is heartbreaking.... does anyone know WHY it closed? Seems something must have happened for them to make such a drastic move.

After typing this, I'm realizing how we take these beautiful spaces for granted--and I would imagine that if they closed it, they obviously closed it for security reasons, like how just about every college campus requires a college ID these days to enter the grounds to keep the crazies out.

Being an alumni, it saddens me to think I won't be able to just breeze through that black fence and take a stroll anymore...

the campus is closed to the public for the duration of the construction that is currently going on there. if i remember correctly from an email the school sent it, it will re-open to the public once all that's finished.

if y're an alumni, you can get an alumni id & use that.

This has been going on for most of the summer, I thought.

I had no idea either. I am glad to know they will reopen the campus. I love walking through as well.
