After watching that, I want to gouge my eyes out. What is the target audience for this place supposed to be? All those folks in Park Slope who've been dying for a hot Euro-style club to finally come to the 'hood? I don't get it.

I really don't like how its called "Le Bleugh" It doesn't sound like a place I'd want to visit.

Call it what you want. The retaurant/Bar on the rooftop ia called "VUE". The food is excellent and the servers, hostess etc: are there to please you. We ate inside but there are large windows for the view. You can eat outside on the roof and get a "VUE" of the Manhatten skyline as well as the Statue of Liberty. I have no financial interest in the place and live 1200 miles away. The prices are high but most decent places in NY are high. If I can catch a break on a special price for the room, and was planning a trip to Brooklyn, I would stay in LeBleu again. The room rates are sky high but to be able to stay in my old neighborhood in a "high class joint' was a real pleasure. I did not experience the Bar except to have a glass of excellent wine with my dinner. OLD GOAT

That video made the place seem really unappealing. Maybe it was the aura of Gersh lameness.

We all know and/or interact with some folks in Brooklyn who might find this appealing (and if you don't know what I'm talking about, get out of the Slope and head to some other corners of Brooklyn, once in awhile). In my nabe, from what I see and hear, some folks enjoy their hair gel and their Euro bars.

I'd like to check this place out once (during happy hour, prior to when the DJ starts).

Maybe it should be part of the next Brooklynian bar crawl (including Bell House, Canal Bar, etc.) and we can judge for ourselves what we think rather than relying on a dated, dark video with cliched (paid for?) comments.

One question I have, from the video:

Are sniper laser dots a common thing there?

Or were those just for Gersh?

Ditto. The real "game changer" (if one must use this phrase) for Brooklyn is/was Clover Club not a Euro bar in the Gowanus that no one I know has ever been to.

What's with the whole Euro bar anology? is this not NYC where most of these types of bars are born? Manhattan has dozens of these types of places.

i bet that it's so lame that it's cool. as long as they don't charge ridiculous prices for a drink.

But who would want to "change the game" and why? I love Brooklyn the way it is. And sometimes if I'm in the mood for something Manhattan-like, I'll go to Manhattan. But there's a reason I live here.

I hope Gersh runs coupons for Le blugh in the Brooklyn Paper.

I recently stayed at Hotel Le Bleu and loved it. I imagine that the bar/dining area is designed to fit with the scheme of the hotel and not necessarily what lies outside the front doors. They have great pricing (the Irene debacle was not properly investigated before people began spewing opinions) and the location is perfect for visitors. I'd recommend it 100 times over.
