As you probably saw on the news, the century old Coney Island Bell from the iron pier of the old Dreamland Park was raised from the ocean floor last week after nearly 100 years underwater. The Coney Island History Project has it on exhibition again this weekend at the History Project's FREE public exhibition center under the Cyclone roller coaster. This is a special exhibit--this weekend only- Sept 12 & 13, from 2-6pm. Then we close for the season.

This set of photos was taken on Sept. 5, the first day of the Bell's display at the History Project. and its second day on land in 98 years!
