at 7:37 tonight we ordered $35.00 worth of Red Hot goodness. The food was delivered at 7:52. We live about 6-7 blocks away. Unreal.

all the food is already made, they just flash fry/heat it. That's got to be the only way.

in any regard: I LOVE it! haha.

Isn't it obvious? It's GW keeping the orders of spring rolls Nice & "Safe" in the kitchen! Shock & Awe Baby!

that's actually not that fast for them, we're about 10 blocks away and the last time we ordered it was there in less than 10 minutes, never fails to amaze me

What did you order i'm not normally impressed by their quality nor their quickness.

we like the vege stuff - moo shu dry bean curd, bean curd home style, kung pao wheat gluten, plus the standard fried rice, wonton soup etc

years ago we lived in prospect heights and they'd get there within 15 minutes everytime, then they slowed down for a while, closed and reopened and now they're back to light speed

Red Hot is good. But we much prefer Hunan Delight on 6th and Union, especially for their mock meat dishes. Their vegetarian General Tso's Chicken is the bomb. And their scallion pancakes will kick Red Hot's ass any day of the week. Plus, we're like 18 blocks from them and they're always here quickly.

Eh, it's really very mediocre. It's not even as good as the first Red Hot. I wish it rocks, but it doesn't.

If I'm ordering take out, the last thing I want is food that arrives so fast it was obviously pre cooked. No thanks.

And Hunan Delight is WAY better.

If I'm really hungry and want food fast, Red Hot or Lemongrass are my go-to's. Their food is consistent and delivery is very fast (plus Lemongrass stores addresses with your phone number so no trying to clarify our odd address). If I want amazing food, I'm not getting delivery.

Count me in as someone who was less than impressed with the new Red Hot and now order from Hunan Delight (even though I'm in South Slope). HD isn't extraordinary Chinese food, but it's ingredients are fresh and it's world's better than the flavorless stuff Red Hot serves up these days. Definitely worth the extra wait if I'm in the mood for Chinese.
