What's up guys,

My close friend and I are moving to 5th st between 1st & 2nd on Saturday and I wanted to introduce us to the community here.

We're both overly-educated mid-20's males that work on Wall st by day and run a Nightclub promotions company by night....

We're both very excited about coming to the Slope and sharing in the good times out there and tossing some fun little afterparties.

Any recommendations as to what the best bars are in the area?

Thanks and hello,

Eric & Greg

Welcome to the 'hood. You might enjoy 200 5th on the weekend (5th Avenue and Union). Indigo bar has a dj sometimes (Vanderbilt and Dean) . There are quite a few spaces here for you guys to promote something (hint hint).

    Thanks Stacy,

I hear you, if there's a market for it, then we'll try to put something together. I've put in for a permit request w/ the parks. Dept to do an outdoor event at Prospect Park.

We usually do stuff at places like Sullivan Room, etc. in Manhattan, where there is already an established dance scene but we'll see! We're building a booth & studio for our place, so at the minimum there will be some solid house parties...

Cool make sure you check out Lyceum on 4th Ave and keep up posted when you put something together.

PS there is a poster here named Candissima who really has her hand on the pulse of Bklyn nightlife maybe she can give you some ideas when she sees this post.

    Hey Man

    Welcome to the hood.

As forplaces to play, my girlfriend is a DJ and she has been looking for stuff to do as well. She has a lot of friends in the BIZ (Josh Wink, Adam Freeland, Tommy Sunshine...), but there seems to be a lack of a good party here anymore (a consistent one anyway, especially in Brooklyn). It may be a lack of interest but I think there is definately still a vibe waiting to break out again.

As for the Park, that would be a great idea, applying for permits can be tough but worth taking a crack at.

Anyway, if anything comes up or if an idea I have works out (in Williamsburg potentially) I will let you know.

    Good luck.

Yes it was the pink shirt that did it. :D

Actually no, it was just a complete error on my part. Sorry.

Nothing wrong with being gay. Park Slope has all types! Welcome!
