This just arrived by e-mail. Thoughts?

"A new restaurant guide for reviews and menus - www.parkslopedining.com Menus are still being added to the restaurants, but there is a complete directory of area restaurants up on the site!"

Pretty useful. What would be great is online ordering. Thanks for posting this. ANyone tried the french fries at Second Helpings? They are so great.

The 2 forums on this site have January dates on them - has this site just gone live?

Is it just me, or did every single "menu" link lead to a pop-up that said "Sorry, no menu available. Try back later!".

    Subject: PS Restaurant Listings

I tried 4 before I got one to menu link to work - Anthony's Pizza came up.

This would be great if it was more populated

Yeah-my thought is that website has been up at least 3 months now and they should really get some menus on there already!

a friend of mine works for a site (that I already mentioned in the take out thread) called zipmenu.com, that's an order-online site based in Brooklyn. they have 10 restaurants that come up as order online in 11215. like i said in that other thread, i discovered kiku through the site. def worth checking out, as they seem to add restaurants pretty regularly.

Since this is my site, I suppose I'll chime in!

The site is basically a side project of mine. I work full time (10-11 hours per day), so I don't get much time to type up menus (not to mention I've just finished a series of surgeries over the last 6 weeks which did not leave me wanting to work on the website).

The site has been live for about 2 months now. It went live at the end of Jan. There are a little over 30 menus on the site right now. I am planning on adding a lot this weekend and over the coming weeks. Menus take awhile to write up. You wouldn't believe how long Chinese menus take to type up!

I am also working on a new comment/rating system and redesigning the overall look of the site. However, getting menus up is the priority right now.

Anyway... glad to see some people are interested in my site. Thanks for the feedback!

you might want to scan them in, as other menu sites have done

makes it easier, saves time, and nothing gets lost in translation

Since the Internet is just a modern form of anarchy, might I suggest you cut & paste from menupages.com who just started listing Brooklyn restaurants..

you'll get better info (not menus) searching the Chowhound Outer Boroughs board . . . for instance there's a new South Slope Thai place . . .

It's really annoying to click on a "menu" icon and get a "this menu is not available" message. I think it would be better to either grey out the menu icon or remove it altogether if you don't have the menue yet.
