My tenant called about power outage. she said she talk to coned. they said they didn't have a power problem in the area.

I wen to the building. saw there was no power going to the meters. I told them. they said I'll have to wait around till some emergency crew shows up. she says any where within 24 hrs :o.

I walk outside half hour later. saw emergency crews. i ask them is there a power problem. they were like yes for the block.

now I'm going to call coned to let them know they don't need to come to my building blah.

I lost 1 full plate armor bid!! only won another one. instead of two. mmo related. this while i was away. auction was ending. blah

ok, I totally read what you meant as ConEd as coned, as though it were some ice cream shop I've never heard of.

Funny, I've had a ticket in with them for over a month about flickering lights and intermittent outages in my building. Took a complaint to the PSC to get them to actually call me back today. They now promise either Monday or Thursday. I don't believe 'em.

my own experience with ConEd is that if they only get one complaint, or complaints from one address, they will swear up and down to you that the problem is inside your building and you've got to call a private electrician to fix it. There could be a manhole fire with charred feeder cables 100' up the block, but if they only get calls from one address, they'll ignore it and hope it goes away. If you have a block-wide problem, urge all of your neighbors to call ConEd immediately, because otherwise they just won't budge.

I hate them. Not as much as time warner, but a lot.
